Established in 1960 and registered with the Ministry of Commerce, Government of Pakistan, it represents one of the largest exports sectors in the country with over 3,500 industrial units including Knitted Garment, Knitted Bed Sheet, Knitted and Processed fabric and Hosiery Manufacturing units. The Central office is located in Karachi while its Northerc Zone Offices are situated in Lahore, Faisalabad and Sialkot.
P.H.M.A has opened its Overseas Office in U.S.A incorporated with the name of Pakistan Hosiery & Textiles Manufacturer’s Inc. established and located in the best business area of New York, U.S.A at 1407 Broadway, 39th Street. It serves as a gateway to over 1,200 reputed manufacturers and exporters of Knitted Garment, Knitted Bed Sheet, Knitted and Processed fabric and Hosiery in Pakistan.
The primary purpose and raison du etre for which PHMA has setup its office in New York is to act as a hub for connecting the reputed Buyers and Sourcing professionals in U.S.A with Reliable, Qualified and Certified Manufacturers from Pakistan and to facilitate them to:

This center is a major initiative of the PHMA aimed at aggressive marketing, promotion and development of Pakistan Knitwear Industry.
- Act as a bridge between the buyer and seller. Liaise and Coordinate between buyer and seller and facilitate in each of the Operational steps- Order inquiry, Pricing, Order confirmation, Order follow-up, Quality assurance and Shipment. Al – Abbas Group began with Al-Abbas Fabrics (Pvt) Ltd. in 1991 as a commercial dye-house for knitted fabric. Since then it has progressed into one of the leading exporters of dyed knitted fabric in Pakistan with a monthly dyeing capacity of one million KGs per month. In 2002 the Group established Al-Abbas Garments (Pvt) Ltd. a state of the art stitching unit for the manufacture of knitted garments. In 2010 the group established Al – Abbas Ship Breaking at Ghadani to procure ships and break them down for scrap recycling.
In October 2011 Al – Abbas Garments acquired a new factory in Korangi Industrial Area Karachi. The factory is equipped with the latest in technology. We have purchased brand new flat-locks from Yamato, over-locks from Siruba, and single needle machines plus miscellaneous special machines from Brother. The machines feature auto-trimmers and are semi-dry to ensure the prevention of oil stains.
Our monthly capacity based on our currently installed 250 machines is as follows product wise:
• T-shirt 16,000 – 20,000 dz
• Polo 12,000 – 14,000 dz
• Hooded Pullover 10,000 - 12,000 dz
• Fleece Jacket 7,000 – 9,000 dz
